The Best Type of House Floor for living

There are two types of house floors, namely artificial ones such as ceramics, plaster cement, and vinyl floors, as well as types of floors made from natural materials such as wood and natural stone. For further explanation, here are the types of flooring that can be used at home.

1. Plaster Floor

Plaster is the simplest and cheapest type of floor in a house because it is treated like when plastering walls and polished until smooth. The difference with the treatment on the walls is that the floor is scrubbed until it is smooth and shiny. The resulting color is the same as the cement-sand color and tends to be darker.

2. Ceramic floor

Ceramics is the type of flooring most often used in Indonesian homes. The color motifs and sizes of ceramics vary greatly from marble, plain, wood grain motifs, and many more. There are quite a lot of types of ceramic tile floors, such as shiny and smooth ceramics for walls or floors of rooms; matte ceramic which is non-slip and shiny and scratch resistant, usually used for minimalist homes; and ceramic with a rough texture for bathroom or garage floors.

3. Floor tiles/tiles

Floor tiles or tiles are a type that is also widely used in Indonesian homes. In the past, there was only one choice of color for the floor made from a mixture of cement and sand, namely dark gray. But now, tiles are starting to be colored and applied to various types of tiled floors so they don't seem monotonous. Even the use of tiles with a vintage impression is now increasingly popular abroad.

4. Wooden floor

Wood floors are still a popular material for application in homes. It has a natural impression and the ability to provide warmth in the space. There are two types of flooring, namely parquet (parquet) and laminating. Commonly known as parquet is a generation of wooden floors replacing plank floors for stilt houses.

5. Marble floors

Is a type of rock that was formed over hundreds of years and can not be renewed. Processing only requires the process of cutting and smoothing only. The availability of this type of marble floor in nature is limited, causing the price to be very expensive in the market. Marble floors are very strong and non-brittle, suitable for holding heavy loads. Marble is also cold so it can cool the temperature in the room. The appearance is very luxurious with a variety of motifs and patterns.

6. Granite floor

Granite floors are basically the same as marble…But by naked eye, it has a darker color. The availability of this type of rock in nature is more scarce, so the price is more expensive than marble.

7. Vinyl flooring

Vinyl flooring is relatively practical to use in changing the look of a room. At the bottom, there is glue that is easily glued to the plaster layer or ceramic floor. Similar to wall stickers, if users get bored, they can remove and replace them with other motifs. Installing vinyl flooring is so easy that you can do it yourself. Maintenance is also easy because it is almost the same as ceramic floors. This material is very strong, fire and water resistant so it is widely used in public buildings.

8. Carpet Floor

Carpet floors are permanently installed as a coating on the floor surface of the house. Not many homes use carpet floors because maintenance is not easy. However, carpet floors are installed and can give a warm impression to a children's playground.
